Standards for ethical sourcing

We determine the credibility of suppliers before associating with them.
We check the condition of their facility or shop.
We strictly scrutinize their QMS (Quality Management System).
We prefer purchasing tea through the auctioning system and avoid private buying as far as practicable.
We do not associate with partners that employ child labour.
Maintaining good work ethics is a quality that we look for in our partners before associating.
We prefer working with suppliers who give equal opportunity to their staff as well as workers and who do not believe in any kind of discrimination, whether gender, community, race, religion, or otherwise.

Community

Helping the community

Driven by the purpose of doing good through business, we care about strengthening the community. Helping the community gives us a wonderful opportunity to grow as a responsible organisation and understand the world around us better. We believe that the more we give, the happier we get.

We contribute to the local economic growth in the area through direct employment. Local businesses are encouraged to be part of our supply chain. We also work towards offering training to build local skills and expertise.

Empowering women to build a stronger community

To ensure a sustainable future, the company remains committed to its purpose of creating a difference in the lives of people. Empowering them every day is imperative to building a progressive community. We are committed to transition our facility into a ‘Pink Campus’, with at least 80% of the workforce made up of women across cadres.

With nearly 70% of female workers at our facility, we work towards developing their skills and enhancing their confidence in themselves. After all, when a woman is empowered, they contribute towards building a healthier, happier and better community.

Green Campus

Our campus also has a coconut grove, mango and guava orchards as well as other flowering, fruit, and shade trees. A green cover of over 3,000 plants and trees has effectively helped bring down the temperature in and around the facility.

Miyawaki Forest

In keeping with our commitment, we have planted a Miyawaki forest on two acres of land at our Coimbatore facility that has helped us build a dense native forest, with saplings that grow nearly 10 times faster.

Birds at the campus

Owing to the diverse types of plants and trees in large numbers, the Miyawaki Forest has been instrumental in maintaining a perfect ecological balance. We are proud of the fact that our campus becomes a host to visitors in the form of migratory birds and a variety of other fauna from time to time. Not just this, a big peacock family has become permanent residents of our facility, adding to its splendour.

Water Conservation

We also have a rainwater harvesting system installed at the facility, which is capable of storing nearly 2,50,000 litres of water that is subsequently used as a source of irrigation. The green cover and the rainwater harvesting system have helped us restore and gradually raise the water table level within the area over time.

Renewable Energy

Harnessing the abundant power of solar energy, our campus proudly boasts a 100-KV solar plant installation. This sustainable solution empowers us to power our office and campus facilities efficiently, leaving a greener environmental footprint.
